Animation toy zootrope (or zoetrope). One of several pre-film animation devices that produce the illusion of motion by displaying a sequence of drawings or photographs showing progressive phases of that motion. It was especially popular in the Victorian era. Before this toy kaleidoscope, thaumatrope and phenakistiscope were invented, and after praxinoscope. (Information from Wikipedia)
