Was a major supplier of Military vehicle tools and general maintenance tool kits during the WWII era, as the X-circle version indicating WWII production wrenches.
I believe this wrench 1731-A was a part of the original Willys MB Ford GPW GP military Jeep tool kits, as the # 731A /
41-W-1012-5 wrench, and may have been used also for other military vehicles, as the WC, the CCKW and DUKW.
I believe this wrench # 1731-A is the Gov. stock number 41-W-1012-5, or 731A and the same as the Willys number A-600, and the Ford GP-17047.
The wrench is stamped on one end
1731-A, the other end an X in a circle logo
(which is the logo trade mark for the War Time Production wrenches, made by Indestro / Duro metal Products Company.
