    Description

These headphones are believe to be from the World War II era. The headphone wires are a little brittle as you would expect and the operating condition of the plug is unknown although it looks pretty good for its age. The ear pieces are softer that you would expect and overall for a piece this old it is in remarkably good looking condition (Remember though it is untested and its working condition is unknown). The headphones are clearly labeled as equipment from the United States Army Signal Corps. The US Army Signal Corp was established in 1860 and first served in the American Cival War.  Over its history, it had the responsibility for new technologies that were eventually transferred to other U.S. government entities. Such responsibilities included military intelligence, weather forecasting, and military aviation. Since September 11th 2001, the Signal Corps has been supporting the Global War on Terror. Today they are on the forefront of technology and are involved in things like signal jamming, electronic detection and interception and telecommunications Satellites. With this headset you can own a piece of military history that dates back WWII.
