Toupie fantoche is an invention similar to the praxinoscope. It is composed of four mirrors arranged in the shape of a pyramid as well as a disc on which the images are located. The mirrors and the disc are integral with each other and when they are rotated, the images seem to be animated. Toupie fantoche is an invention of Emile Reynaud patented in 1877. It is part of the category of optical toys. (Information from Wikipedia)
