SS UNITED STATES LINES Grey Star Lamberton China 6.5" Dessert Plates
An absolute wonderful find in an attic of a local Norfolk Virginia estate.  These were purchased at auction at the Norfolk International Terminal in October 1984 lot# 900 a set of 24.  I will be auctioning 4 plates at a time.
This is a beautiful piece of history and wonderful conversation piece.
And a great gift for fathers day or tell your friend who is a collector of Military memorabilia.

This dessert plate was used aboard the SS
United States
, the largest and fastest passenger liner ever built in the United States. Launched in 1952, it was billed as the most modern and luxurious ship in service on the North Atlantic. The Duke and Duchess of Windsor traveled on this ship and could have had dessert off this same plate.....you never know?????
