The United States Lines (SS US) was a transatlantic shipping company that operated cargo services from 1921 to 1989 and ocean liners until 1969, including the SS United States and SS America...their ships were named after American Presidents (SS Roosevelt)
shiny silver plated coffee carafe has a glass liner-
no top lid
this is a very reflective & shiny silver piece so it was difficult to get good photos...
one side only has the SS US shipping maritime logo emblem circular engraved (an eagle holding arrows and laurel leaves in each talon with UNITED STATES LINES around circle)
this is heavy and weighs 3.5 pounds

FYI. The item you are selling is a stateroom carafe from the S.S. Leviathan. The Leviathan was the former German ocean liner S.S. Vaterland. It was seized by the U.S. government and used to transport American troops to France in WWI. After WWI she was converted into an ocean liner to be operated by the United States Lines from 1923-1933. She was scrapped in 1937.
