    during the
    1956 German 500cc GP at Solitude.
    Bill Lomas would become World Champion this year on the 350cc version of this machine.
    Lomas is shown in action with legendary Gilera ace, Geoff Duke.
    These extreme lightly build Guzzi's with their superb streamlining won the world championship between 1953 and 1957. They were designed by the famous ing. Giulio Carcano. The delivered a healthy power output of 38 hp at 8,000 rpm. Topspeed was 150 mph! They were very special motorcycles, designed by somebody that is considered a genius.
