Description
Early 1920's 1930's Illinois Police Hat Badge. The badge is done in exquisite detail. The top of the badge is an eagle with wings spread, beneath the canopy of its wingspan is the White House and beneath that a United States shield with stars and stripes. The center of the shield shows a symbol for agriculture and on either side American indigenous people, a male in a feathered headdress and a female holding a cornucopia. The base of the badge reads: United States Steel Corp. This is from the Chicago Steel Corp division. The reverse of the badge shows two screw posts with disc backings. Its such an amazing treasure that shows such a different time in our history and this City!
