Here's a very nice, handcrafted, vintage style, superheterodyne like high-performance medium wave crystal radio. This radio utilizes a LM386 AF amplifier with 0.50 watts output so you don't need to use headphones. Also it has a 1 transistor antenna booster which adds a great sensitivity. This great looking, high quality vintage style radio is designed to receive many stations on AM band.
I am an experienced radio receiver and transmitter builder, constructing radios for more than 40 years, so you can buy confidently. You will get a very good performance within it's frequency coverage. This radio runs on 9-12 Volts 0.25 Ampere DC. You only need a good quality DC 9-12V power supply or a 9V alkaline battery to run this radio. Volume is very good and lots of stations can be picked up even with a short antenna (min. 5 meters) and ground connection.
