    Description

    Original 1957 8x10 Photograph
    PHILADELPHIA COKE - OFFICE SCENE
    Executives & Customer Service Team
    [
    FEATURES AND DETAILS...
    ]
This is a very nice original 8x10 gelatin silver photo print.  There are three different signs on the wall that confirm it's taken within the offices of Philadelphia Coke.
The twelve seated ladies appear to be assigned to telephone customer service -- outfitted with headsets, etc.  There are also three executives standing behind them, as well as another lady who may be an administrative assistant.
On the back of the photo, there is an address affixed with vintage cellophane tape.
Also, notice that the calendar on the wall is from
    L. Norris Hall, Inc.
-- a steel warehousing company in Philadelphia.  According to online sources:
"Having worked in the steel industry for Carnegie since the early 1900s, the entrepreneur Norris opened his own steel warehousing business in 1921 - based in Philadelphia and later also in Wilmington, DE. Surviving the depression, it grew into quite a successful company, later being headed by his son Wallace. The company was finally sold to a competitor in 1972 after 50 years in business."
A lovely piece of Philadelphia history!
    CONDITION:
The photo has some light wrinkling and age waviness, but no sign of abuse or moisture damage.  From a non-smoking environment.
The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. (Don't we all!?)  It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that
    there will be something
about this item (or lot) that's not perfect and may need touch-up.
PLEASE SUPERSIZE ALL PHOTOS, AND ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING/BUYING.  I'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER.
