The family who held the estate sale were Dutch immigrants to the US.
The husband worked for this bank until he retired -- served in 5 countries!
The bank eventually was bought out by ABN. (google the bank name for complete history)
Absolutely a one-of-a-kind item!!!!!!!!
I am not sure whether this bank grand opening was
in
Uruguay
(my 1st guess, which would date these pictures to 1952) or
Brazil
.
Those who will look and recognize the
mentioned Presidents and dignitaries
will be able to pin this down.
There's lots of description, in very neat handwritten Dutch, next to each photo.
Most of the photos are crisp without bent corners... shown is the page with the most minor corner folds, etc.
I think this is an
historic collection
that any one interested in Latin American Finance would be fascinated by...
Perhaps you are a curator of world or European finance --- this is something you want to own!
